Feral Risings

The Feral Risings were fought between 1645-1647 ASF. Free slavebred of the northern regions of Ackenzal, called “Ferals,” organized under a common banner and began to rebel against the slavery of Ackenzal, hoping to free not only their own people but the half-giants and pygmies as well. The rebellion was led in battle by the ferocious Alec Dødhandler, a former pit fighter turned mercenary commander, and represented in the court by the Barons of Frostreach and the Vale, who both followed the religion of Saint Gaius and individually outlawed slavery in their own baronies. The religious movement of the followers of Saint Gaius, which had always opposed slavery, gained popular support in the south which further aided the military cause.

Emancipation was declared after less than two years of conflict, partially due to the incursions of Giants from the charred lands of Ganza.
